Wormholes Explained: Portals Through Space and Time

Wormholes are hypothetical tunnels through spacetime that emerge as mathematical solutions to Einstein's General Theory of Relativity. 

In theory, they could create shortcuts connecting two distant locations in the universe or even different points in time, dramatically reducing travel distances. However, no wormhole has ever been observed, and there is currently no experimental evidence that they exist. Most theoretical models suggest that keeping a wormhole open would require exotic matter with negative energy density, something that has never been found in the necessary amounts. Today, wormholes remain a fascinating scientific possibility, but they are still speculative rather than established physical objects.
